National Hispanic Heritage Month has been a celebration honored in the U.S. since 1968. This celebration aims to recognize Port Washington families, community members, and businesses who have influenced our town—supporting those whose ancestors, histories, cultures, and contributions derived from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Our focus this year will be inclusivity, building a united and stronger community by drawing inspiration from our tight-knit community. Including a celebration of prominent Hispanic American voices, diverse music, dance, art, and flavorful cuisines passed through the generations that can all be found here in Port Washington.
